Terms of service
Draft text. Have a lawyer review and complete it before you launch.
1. The service
We record the SHA-256 fingerprint of a file you upload, the time we received it, and details you enter, and we issue a numbered PDF certificate after payment. We are an independent service. We are not a government office, a copyright registry, or connected to any marketplace.
2. What a certificate means
A certificate shows that a file with a given fingerprint was received on a given date. It does not prove authorship or ownership, and it is not legal advice. Marketplaces and courts decide for themselves what weight to give it.
3. Your promises
You upload only work that is your own, or that you have the right to register. You will not upload unlawful content or work belonging to others. We may refuse or remove a registration that breaks these Terms.
4. Public and private certificates
For a public certificate, the verify page shows your name, design title and country. For a private one, it shows only that the number is valid and the date and fingerprint.
5. Payment
Prices are shown at checkout. Certificates are issued after payment is confirmed. See the payment and refund policy.
6. Liability
We take reasonable care to keep records and files safe, but we cannot guarantee the outcome of any dispute. Keep your original files. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the amount you paid.
7. Who we are
