Why you should register your design

You spend days or weeks on one design. The pattern, the colors, the way you knot, carve or sew it. Then one morning you find your photos in another shop, with a lower price. What can you show?

Copying is fast, proving is slow

It takes seconds to download a photo. It can take months to rebuild a design from scratch. Online, the copy and the original often sit side by side, and a customer, a platform or a host may ask a simple question: who was first?

If you have nothing with a date on it, the answer depends on whose word is believed. A dated record changes that.

What a registration gives you

  • A number. Every certificate has a unique number, for example DC-2026-000123.
  • A date and time. We record the moment your file reached us, in UTC.
  • A fingerprint. A code (SHA-256) calculated from your exact file. If the file changes by even one pixel, the code changes.
  • A page anyone can open. The verify page confirms the number, the date and the fingerprint, so you do not have to ask anyone to simply trust a PDF.

How it helps your business

  • Calm when a copy appears. You already have your proof ready, so you can act the same day.
  • Stronger reports. A marketplace or a host can read a clear record: number, date and a link to check it.
  • Confidence when you sell or license a design. A buyer, a partner or a workshop can see when the design existed and who registered it.
  • A small cost. One certificate costs $5. A pack lowers the price for each design.

When to register

Register the day you finish the design, before you post it anywhere. Register the main photo, and if you can, a few more: the sketch, the work in progress, the finished piece from other angles. Each one is a separate file with its own date.

What a certificate is not

It is not a government registration, and it does not prove by itself that you are the author. It proves that a file with that exact fingerprint existed on that date. Together with your sketches, your process photos and your first listing date, it makes a clear story: this design was already yours on this day.
